We would like to take a moment today to congratulate Sigma Kappa on 143 years of sisterhood!
Sigma Kappa was founded on this day, November 9th 1874, by five lovely women. Mary Caffrey Low (first female student admitted), Elizabeth Gorham Hoag, Ida Fuller, Frances Mann and Louise Helen Coburn attended Colby College, in Waterville, Maine. Colby College was the first college in the New England area to allow women too attend on an equal basis with men students.
These women came together and created an organization that over 143 years would lead to more than 123 collegiate chapters of 168,000+ women. To say their ideals of “One Heart, One Way” were met, is an understatement!
Today we have our special Sigma Kappa Founder’s Day Tee, Mary Low’s Floral Bouquet, available (below)!
For one week only you can get this tee Shipped FREE with coupon code: “SIGMAKAPPA” thru November 16th! Just enter the coupon code at checkout in our Ollie + Ivy site or The Greek Ink Press site to get the discount!
Cheers to 143 years, Sigma Kappa! 1…4…3…..This is the year of much love! ❤
